International Conference on Nanotechnology:
Fundamentals and Applications
August 4 - 6, 2010
Nanotechnology has become one of the fast developing fields of research
in the past few decades. It has a multidisciplinary nature with
tremendous potential to create new devices and materials with a wide
range of applications. It is anticipated that nanotechnology will contribute to
building a society with accessible clean energy and clean water, new
industries and jobs, improved health care, and extended life span with
high quality. The market opportunity is substantial. Science and
engineering at the nanoscale will have a dramatic impact on fields such
as computing, electronics, telecommunications, energy, environment and
medicine. The current global market for nanotechnology is worth billions
of dollars and is expected to increase rapidly in the near future. Many
business and government leaders describe nanotechnology as “the next
Industrial Revolution", yet the environmental and health impacts remain
unknown. Therefore, there is a great need to assess and study the
implications of nanotechnology and how this new technology can be implemented.
The International Academy of Science, Engineering and
Technology (International ASET) is pleased to organize the International
Conference on Nanotechnology: Fundamentals and Applications. As
globalization leads to increasing interaction among regions and peoples
of the world, it is important to encourage multi-disciplinarity in
emerging scientific topics such as nanotechnology. Nanotechnology is
still in its infancy and has given rise to numerous novel applications
to the solution of many current problems.
The aim of the International Conference on Nanotechnology:
Fundamentals and Applications is to gather scholars and researchers from all over the
world to present advances in the field of nanotechnology and to foster
an environment conducive to exchanging ideas and information. This
conference will also provide a golden opportunity to develop new
collaborations and meet world experts on the
fundamentals, applications and products of nanotechnology.
