Course Summary: This short course will cover the basic of silicon photonics,
which includes passive waveguides and waveguide based
structures, to active devices including modulators, lasers, and
photodetectors. The course will offer a review on the state of
the art devices, present the existing and potential commercial
applications, and discuss the outlook of field.
